| I will be literally editing these pages from between the towers of Portomaso and Pender Gardens. My family's residence has been surrounded completely by mega-8 storey apartments, hotel and 24 floor towers, in this purely residential area. You never know what the powers that be have in store for your residential zone. |
St Julians will continue to strike everyone's fancy, and artists impressions will continue to abound. Hundreds of illustrations will be drawn to take the viewers a long way from reality. If we believe the illusion of blissful cosmopolitan life and also think it is sorely missed, then, we have another one coming ! This is an impression of St Julians as viewed from the catamaran crossing the Malta/Sicily channel after daybreak. Its my impression, if i may! |

Pender Gardens Development The quarrying that took place to accommodate only part of the development, was a herculean task in itself. What is seen in this photo is approximately one third of the 1st excavation Excavation started in April 2007, and the above photo shows the advanced stage in June.
In late winter 2007, structural development started, with the foundation laying, in the form of pillar beds. Here shown with the first floor preparations being undertaken.
The last photo in this series shows floor three being prepared with the easternmost block prepared for the 1st floor
This is the latest development stage (May 2008)
The first three blocks to be erected, on the southern side of Pender. They are intended to rise 8 storeys about street level.
